SWDAA For Education is an initiative created by the SWDAA Board of Directors and the Finance Committee as a way to increase the recognition of those alumni members who are serving as educators in our District. We recognize that being an educator has an impact on the future of our society that often goes unnoticed. We are also immensely proud of the alumni members of Kappa Kappa Psi and Tau Beta Sigma who have dedicated their lives to the enrichment of others through education.

How it works: Any member of SWDAA or active member of Kappa Kappa Psi & Tau Beta Sigma can nominate an individual who meets the requirements as outlined below. At the end of the nomination period, the Finance Committee and BOD will select one individual to receive a $50 Visa Card to supplement their efforts in the classroom. All other candidates' nominations will be used to recognize individuals through our social media outlets. Our hope is to be able to continue to provide this scholarship each semester.
Eligible educators must: be an Alumni of Kappa Kappa Psi or Tau Beta Sigma, live and work in the Southwest District OR are members of SWDAA,
have made lasting impact on their students during the current semester, teach at any level and in any field or subject matter
*Alumni status will be checked with National Headquarters before winners are selected.
